My flatmate and I were discussing sampling and hip-hop and the Genius of Kanye West and he mentioned that he had discovered two of the samples Kanye used on his own. I pointed out another, but I was only able to convince him when he put on Tears for Fears "Memories Fade" next to Kanye's "Coldest Winter" my intuitions indeed proved correct as the some of the vocal and melody lines are total match-ups.
